COMPUTER CENTRE
Fully air-conditioned, state-of-the-art computer centre with latest
equipment & software. There are 182 computers including Pentium IV series
running at 1.7 GHz, 800 MHz., Celeron 667 MHz nodes with colour monitors.
There are seven networks with ready of operating systems & software.
Windows 2000, Linux, Unix, Window NT & Window 98, 95, Visual Studio 6,
Oracle, Turbo C, C++, Pascal & Auto Cad 14, MS Office, Java & JDK are
available. Internet facility for all with ISDN line is available. |

First year laboratories are basically
science laboratories. Physics & Chemistry laboratories are housed in
the big airy & well lighted halls. Chemical balances for Chemistry
lab, dark room for Physics lab & spacious work tables have been
provided. Display & working models for different types of boilers,
gears etc, besides UTM, Fatigue Testing Machine are available in
Mechanical Engg. Lab for first year students. Similarly, well
established Electrical Engg. Laboratory equipped with synchronous D.C.
Shunt motor, transformers etc. is functioning in the institute. |

To cater to the needs of manufacturing technology, the Institute has
following shops in its workshop.
Machine Shop : equipped with Capstan lathe, Central lathe, Universal
Milling machine, Shaper etc.
Welding Shop: equipped with welding machine & gas welding set.
Carpentry Shop: with 8 working tables.
Sheet Metal Shop, Fitting Shop,
Smithy & Foundry Shop.

SYSTEM
Fully air-conditioned Institute library is well-equipped with wide
collection of text books & reference books. Total number of books are over
8000 with about 900 titles. Text Book Loan Scheme (TBLS) is available to
all those who apply for it, in which all the text books are issued to
students for the entire semester. |
